Schools Plus formed in early 1991 in response to a Santa Rosa City Schools budget shortfall that threatened to cancel many high schools sports programs.

Schools Plus managed to save these valuable programs by generating over $100,000 from the community through a series of fund raisers.

While we continue to assist sports, our goals expanded to include funding enrichment programs such as art, drama and music. As budget shortfalls continue to confront our school districts, Schools Plus continues to meet the needs of our schools.

Today we serve more than 43 schools and approximately 30,000 students in the greater Santa Rosa area from kindergarten through high school. To date, our fundraising efforts have raised nearly $2 million.

Who We Are

Schools Plus is an all-volunteer group of Santa Rosa citizens whose mission is funding sports, music, art, drama and other enrichment programs for students in the greater Santa Rosa area. Organized as a not-for-profit corporation, Schools Plus consists of approximately 35 board members supported by dozens of informal members. We operate without any paid administrative staff.
